Open Water Diver certification is a full entry level certification you earn by successfully completing the entire Open Water Diver course. The PADI Open Water Diver certification qualifies you to:
Dive independently while applying the knowledge and skills you learn in this course, within the limits of your training and experience.
Procure air fills, scuba equipment and other services.
Plan, conduct and log open water no-decompression dives when equipped properly and accompanied by a buddy in conditions with which you have training or experience.
Continue your diver training with a specialty dive in the PADI Adventure Diver programs or PADI Specialty courses.
The PADI Open Water Diver course is a three week program with a total of 4 open water training dives for certification.
For those with time constraints, our PADI eLearning Program may be what you are looking for. This allows you to complete all of the academic phases of training anywhere you have access to a computer and the internet. Simply click on the eLearning button on our website's front page and that will direct you to the registration page. You can then make arrangements with us to complete your pool and open water phases of your certification course.

Leading Edge Education
What does it take to create a diver training program? PADI believes it requires applying established instructional system design theory, educational psychology and cognitive psychology to create valid, state-of-the-art courses and materials. Apparently, mainstream bodies in higher education agree: Increasingly, institutions in international governments and education recognize the instructional quality of PADI training. The
American Council on Education (ACE) independently evaluated PADI courses and recommends several for college credit.
These acknowledgements corroborate the educational validity of PADI courses, and the PADI organization's ability to meet its educational goals. PADI is the only diver training organization to recognition from ACE and many similar organizations internationally.
Who is PADI?
PADI is the world's largest diver training association with local offices, instructors, and retail dive centers in more than 110 countries. PADI is the training agency by whom your course textbooks, audio-visual programs, and course materials were written and produced. PADI is also the agency with whom you will be certified, and your certification will be recognized at resort destinations, on diving charter boats, and dive centers around the world. This means that after your certification, wherever you travel, you will be able to enjoy the thrilling adventures of a scuba diver.
